Approach
A visible workbench and a five-minute invitation make the time commitment clear.
Speculative campaign / Le Labo / Fragrance
An independent Le Labo campaign concept that takes the perfumery workbench onto the street. A short hosted session connects a raw-material reference to the prepared extracts used in a composed scent.

THE STARTING POINT
The idea began with a perfumer’s workbench. I wanted a visitor to compare a material reference with a prepared extract and understand how a choice enters the scent. The hands and tools give the campaign its image.
A vintage courier vehicle gives that encounter a temporary place on the street. The proposed session is hosted and short. It needs to explain the role of a material without suggesting that a finished perfume can be made from a handful of raw ingredients at the curb.
The experience
The proposed counter uses labeled vessels and a clear sequence. Physical references, such as vetiver root or bergamot rind, sit beside the prepared materials used for the demonstration.
A visible workbench and a five-minute invitation make the time commitment clear.
The perfumer introduces a material reference alongside its prepared extract, using individual blotters.
A controlled accord demonstration shows how that material changes when it meets another prepared ingredient.
A dated study card records the encounter and directs the visitor to a permanent lab for further sampling.
Art direction
The visual language stays close to the counter. Labels explain what is present. Close photographs show a hand placing a blotter or making a measured decision. The vehicle gives those details a recognizable frame.

Short films would follow one material decision. Captions explain the relationship being demonstrated, keeping the process legible without turning it into a formula tutorial.
A compact set of reference cards could remain at the partner store after the vehicle leaves. The cards would connect back to the hosted session and permanent lab.
Proposed pilot
Before building the vehicle, use a stationary counter at one location. A short hosted session can show whether the comparison is understandable and whether visitors want to continue at the permanent lab.
Begin with one material comparison and a prepared accord. A qualified perfumer would lead the demonstration and handle the materials.
Ask the visitor to explain one relationship they noticed. Track whether they use the lab invitation afterward. These are proposed pilot measures, with no campaign results yet.
THE WORK, TOGETHER
