01

THE CHALLENGE

Start with the tension.

Astronomical scale is difficult to understand through labels alone. The experience needed to orient visitors physically, make planetary relationships legible, and build anticipation for content that would exist as motion, light, projection, and holographic depth rather than a flat object.

02 / THE ORGANIZING IDEA

Treat information as something visitors orbit: a journey from the city, to the museum, through an interactive map, around eight planets, and outward into deep space.

03

THE DESIGN LOGIC

How the system works.

01

A PROMISE OF DISCOVERY

Transit and social advertising invite participation: touch the night sky, aim for the stars, get lost in space.

02

MAP THE INVISIBLE

2D wayfinding and 3D floor plans give visitors a stable route through intangible holographic content.

03

EIGHT WORLDS, ONE ROUTE

Each planet has a distinct scale, atmosphere, motion profile, and story while remaining part of one navigable system.

04

ONE CAMPAIGN, MANY SCALES

The system moves from a phone screen to subway, bus shelter, museum wall, interactive floor plan, and room-sized hologram.

04

THE IDENTITY

The idea becomes visible.

The identity uses deep space, cinematic planetary imagery, and fine informational typography to hold wonder and orientation in the same system.

THE VISUAL LANGUAGE

MAKE THE SOLAR SYSTEM FEEL PHYSICAL.

Cinematic planets create wonder while maps, labels, orbital paths, and scale comparisons explain where the visitor stands. Every celestial object carries a route, behavior, or story.

06

APPLICATION

FROM THE STREET TO EIGHT WORLDS.

The campaign meets visitors before the museum in transit, social, and digital media, then hands them to a mapped planetary route once they enter the exhibit.

07

EXPERIENCE

THE MAP WORKS LIKE MISSION CONTROL.

The environmental journey connects the campaign, responsive wayfinding, planetary animation, holographic exhibits, and visitor-selected routes.

01

INTERACTIVE ORIENTATION

The original floor plan becomes a selectable route across the Sun, rocky worlds, gas giants, and deep space.

02

PLANETS IN MOTION

Orbital speed, atmosphere, rotation, and scale become a responsive animation language.

03

HOLOGRAPHIC STORYTELLING

Planet placement, projected data, and visitor viewpoint are designed together as one information system.

04

MUSEUM-WIDE CAMPAIGN

Transit, social media, event programming, digital tickets, and museum-store objects carry one planetary promise.

08 / THE COSMOS, EXPANDED

Turn the museum
into an orbit.

The original information, map, and hologram studies expand into a complete public experience for a speculative installation associated with the American Museum of Natural History’s Rose Center for Earth and Space. The concept connects street-level invitation, interactive wayfinding, planetary motion, physical exhibit, and objects visitors can carry home.

INTERACTIVE MAP / ORIGINAL DESIGN ACTIVATED

Choose a world.
Build your route.

Select a destination to reveal its exhibit story. The original floor-plan logic becomes a responsive guide that can live on a kiosk, phone, projection wall, or museum website.

ZONE 01 / ENERGYTHE SUN

Begin at the system’s anchor. A suspended solar hologram reveals convection, flares, scale, and the light that reaches every world.

stand still.

Scale, velocity, atmosphere, and orbital rhythm become the animation language. Hover or focus to slow a world down and reveal its identity.

EXHIBIT DESIGN / HOLOGRAPHIC GALLERYWALK THROUGH THE SOLAR SYSTEM.

Volumetric planets, projected orbit lines, and responsive labels turn astronomical information into a spatial encounter.

CAMPAIGN EXTENSION / FROM CITY TO COSMOS

The invitation
starts underground.

A connected campaign uses planetary scale, sharp educational hooks, and the map’s orbit language across transit, social, digital tickets, museum screens, and neighborhood wayfinding.

01

SOCIAL ORBIT

Creators choose one planet and translate its strangest fact into a reel, carousel, or live museum challenge.

02

COSMIC COMMUTE

Transit media turns each stop toward the museum into one stage of the solar system.

03

NIGHT AT THE ROSE

Timed evening programs pair holographic tours, planetarium programming, and limited-edition drops.

04

POCKET UNIVERSE

A saved digital route follows visitors home with their selected worlds, facts, and next observation date.

MUSEUM STORE / LIMITED OBJECTS

Bring a piece
of orbit home.

The identity becomes a premium museum-store system: tactile, educational, collectible, and designed to reward repeat visits rather than read as generic space merchandise.

THE RESULT

A system with gravity.

The original infographic and spatial study now support a full museum concept. An interactive map, eight-world motion system, holographic gallery, public campaign, event program, and collectible merchandise give visitors the wonder of cosmic scale and a clear path through it.
