THE CHALLENGE

Start with the tension.

Sibling Connections creates opportunities for siblings separated by foster care to spend meaningful time together and strengthen lifelong family bonds. The organization needed an identity that could express the emotion of reunion without becoming sentimental, while remaining practical across fundraising, programs, correspondence, merchandise, and everyday nonprofit production.

02 / THE ORGANIZING IDEA

The instant connection becomes the mark.

03

THE DESIGN LOGIC

How the system works.

01

CONNECTION IN MOTION

Two abstract human figures meet at the center, capturing the energy of a high-five, an embrace, or siblings running toward one another.

02

ONE MARK, TWO PEOPLE

The symbol holds two distinct individuals in a single silhouette, an immediate visual metaphor for bonds that remain strong across distance.

03

JOY WITH STRUCTURE

Youth Orange brings warmth and optimism; Sibling Blue adds trust, clarity, and the operational confidence a nonprofit system requires.

04

BUILT TO EXTEND

A compact primary lockup, knockout treatment, symbol, and program naming system support communications, merchandise, events, and future initiatives.

04

THE IDENTITY

The idea becomes visible.

The final identity translates reunion into a direct human gesture. Two figures lean toward a shared center above a bold, compact wordmark; blue and orange can trade roles without losing recognition.

THE VISUAL LANGUAGE

A human gesture, reduced to one unmistakable silhouette.

The approved mark captures two people meeting at the center. Its orange and blue roles can reverse across program contexts, while the stacked wordmark keeps the organization’s name legible and ownable.

06

APPLICATION

Made to work in the real life of a nonprofit.

The final system moves from correspondence and program materials to fundraising merchandise without changing character. These applications come directly from the approved identity presentation, not the declined YLP exploration.

07

THE IDENTITY IN USE

A flexible identity in service of an enduring bond.

The system gives Sibling Connections a recognizable public face while respecting the human mission at its center. It is expressive enough for participants and donors, and disciplined enough for day-to-day nonprofit use.

01

INSTANT RECOGNITION

The paired figures make the central idea of connection legible before the organization’s name is even read.

02

PROGRAM ARCHITECTURE

Program names can attach to the core lockup without fragmenting the parent brand.

03

COLOR REVERSAL

Orange and blue can trade emphasis for different audiences, backgrounds, and production needs.

04

PRODUCTION READY

The bold silhouette and compact typography reproduce across print, apparel, totes, objects, and digital use.

05

HUMAN, NOT INSTITUTIONAL

The visual language feels optimistic and active while retaining the credibility of a service organization.

06

MISSION LED

Every application returns to the same idea: separated siblings remain connected.
